To keep prices competitive and logistics streamlined, North London Crate Hire operates as a direct delivery and collection service. We do not maintain a retail storefront for customer collections. All crate orders are delivered straight to your home or office door and collected once you've finished unpacking.

Yes, someone aged 18 or over must be present at the delivery and collection address to inspect the crates, confirm quantities, and sign the delivery note. We offer flexible morning and afternoon delivery windows between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM to fit around your schedule. Once you place your order, we will contact you to schedule your delivery and collection time slots.

Our standard heavy-duty nesting moving crates measure:

• Dimensions: 710mm (L) x 460mm (W) x 370mm (H)
• Capacity: 80 Litres

They feature integrated lid seals, stack securely when filled, and nest neatly inside one another when empty to save space.

Delivery and collection are FREE for standard crate hire packages delivered within our primary North London service area (see our delivery area page for more exact service area). Please contact us if you require a delivery or collection outside this core zone as this will incur a small additional fee.

If a crate or crate dolly/skate is lost, unreturned, or you wish to keep it for long-term storage, replacement charges will be applied to the payment card on file:

• Plastic Moving Crate: £25.00 + VAT each

• Crate Dolly £55.00 + VAT each

No problem! If your move is delayed or you need extra time to unpack, simply contact our customer service team before your collection date. We will extend your hire period on a weekly basis at our standard weekly extension rates.

We accept all major UK debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure online payment system. Payment is required upfront at the time of booking to reserve your delivery slot.

Subject to availability, we can typically deliver your crates as early as the next working day for orders placed before 2:00 PM. However, we recommend booking 3 to 5 days in advance to guarantee your preferred delivery time slot, especially during peak moving periods (end of the month or weekends).
